FDA to enter the drug business under new "Revitalization Act"

NewsTarget Insider Alert (www.NewsTarget.com)

Dear Readers,

There are major developments today in the war on your health freedom and the actions of the FDA. Concerning the recent CAM Guidelines, the FDA has responded to public pressure and finally extended the deadline for public comments to May 29th. See the feature article below for full details on the FDA's attempts to slip this document under the radar and get it adopted before anyone noticed.

The second major development is described in a feature story by Byron Richards that reveals plans buried deep in the new "Food and Drug Administration Revitalization Act" that would put an FDA-controlled non-profit entity -- the Reagan-Udall Foundation -- squarely in the drug business, where it could enter into contracts with drug companies and earn revenues from the licensing of drugs.

This is a frightening development. When the people who regulate the drug industry become part of the industry itself, there's no limit to the harm and corruption that could ensue. I've always said that every government regulatory body eventually becomes an extension of the industry it claims to regulate, and this latest legislative effort clearly demonstrates that principle in action.
