Last week, we published an article about the FDA's threat to religious freedom. In that article, we pre-announced a CounterThink cartoon depicting what might happen if Big Pharma took over the Church.

This cartoon, by the way, is not intended as any sort of negative comment on the Church or its pastors. Rather, it is attempting to depict the immoral, aggressive expansion of drug marketing by showing how the industry might invade society's most sacred institutions with its drug marketing efforts.

No legitimate church, of course, would ever let Big Pharma take over its services as depicted here. But drug companies would LOVE to make this cartoon a reality. I can see the TV advertisements already: "Why waste time praying when you can instantly feel better now with HappyZac! Forget confession. Just pop a pill!"
