Most people agree that the mental state of professionals whose decisions affect others should be free from chemical impairment. It only makes sense, right?
So how about a U.S. Supreme Court Justice who undergoes chemotherapy and suffers significant cognitive impairment from the "chemo brain" side effects of that chemotherapy? Should that Justice be removed from a position of power over others?

Shockingly, since publishing this story a few hours ago, I've already received complaints from a few liberal-leaning readers who believe that brain-damaged U.S. Supreme Court Justices are just fine! Want to smoke some crack? Shoot up some heroin? Drink a few rounds of vodka? No problem! You can serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, these people insist. Because to some, the political leanings of Supreme Court Justices matters more than whether or not their brains actually work!
Some people have apparently misinterpreted this story as an attack on Ginsburg. It's nothing of the kind. I would make the same recommendation if Justice Samuel Anthony Alito showed up for work smoking a bong with Michael Phelps!
Shouldn't our nation's top decision makers be free from chemical impairment of their brains?
