I realize we have many, many international subscribers to NewsTarget, and I apologize to those readers for all the U.S.-centered coverage this past week during the Senate bill debates. This is a significant issue not only for Americans, but also for determining global power and influence trends for Big Pharma. And right now, it appears that Big Pharma is ruling the world. Although grassroots supporters had some impact on shaping this debate, we ultimately did not succeed in achieving meaningful FDA / Big Pharma reforms. The final bill strongly favored Pharma interests over consumer interests. (It would have been much worse, however, if not for the grassroots participation that flooded Senators' offices with complaints and concerns...)
