When something happens to the health of a celebrity, everybody seems to be interested. Because celebrities bring so much focused attention to a particular health issue, it can actually be quite instructive to report on those celebrities' health challenges and discuss their natural health options.
This week, the focus is on two celebrities: Steve Jobs (who is suffering from a wasting-away condition) and John Travolta (whose son recently died from an epileptic seizure).
On the Steve Jobs side, the aftermath of a 2004 pancreatic cancer treatment is now intertwined with Apple's share price as Steve Jobs' health, which is on the decline, worries Apple's investors. What can Jobs do to restore his body weight? Byron Richards offers his take on the subject (http://www.naturalnews.com/025246.html) and I offer my own theory that Jobs may be suffering the results of a pancreatic cancer surgical procedure called the "Whipple procedure."

If you're concerned about all this speculation on Jobs' health and any violation of his health privacy, keep in mind that Jobs actually made his health a public issue in an open letter to investors published two days ago. When you go public with your health status, you're fair game for commentary (same is true with me, as I've made my own health status public for several years).
On the John Travolta front, his son's death from a seizure had the pill-pushing community once again attacking Travolta over his religious beliefs (he's a member of Scientology), blaming his religion for his son's death (Scientologists tend to avoid using pharmaceuticals whenever possible, and they work to minimize their exposure to toxic environmental chemicals, which makes perfect sense to me).
After reading some of the rants against Travolta and his religion, I was so stunned by the religious zealotry displayed by some bloggers on the 'net that I published a defense of the Travolta family (Baseless Accusations against John Travolta Demonstrate Cruelty, Intolerance of Pill Pushers and Religion Bashers) and wrote the Freedom Quiz (http://www.naturalnews.com/025225.html), which asks the reader whether they *really* believe in freedom of speech and religion, or if they only believe in freedom for people who follow their own beliefs.
